Be a model to your child

Child’s opinions and attitudes is required to be cultivated; therefore parents need to act as a role model to their kids. Children are considered to be a tabular razer from birth. They are born with a blank state of mind, that is without common knowledge or social skills, as such tends to look for someone to learn or emulate, of which this position the parent at fore front. Parents are first contact; a child’s first teachers and role models.

Often times, children look up to their parents and are usually more affected by what their parents do and say. They, therefore, learn to behave by seeing how their parents behave and by following their examples.

Kids can easily be motivated by what they see their parents do, so it would be adequate to be a child’s role model in their early education stage. And a parent should not limit learning to the classroom when it comes to developing their children. Start educating your child early enough with the necessary lesson’ this will serve as the solid foundation on which other lesson are built before you consider showing your kid out on how useful school life can be if they give it their best.


Create conducive atmosphere of reading

You should help your child develop love for reading and also make sure your child is provided with a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere at home conducive for learning. I advise you to evade discussing family problems and even avoid quarrelling in the kid’s presence because it can make them lose focus’ as such distraction can also make them learn hates and as well corrupt their social practices.

If you notice that your child is less interested in his/her studies, correct them with love so that they can change positively. Avoid use of abusive language as it is not good to make them feel wrong with unkind words or comparing them with other children. Have some patience and give only constructive criticism if you notice any downsides. Be gentle with words, and make them see reasons with you; counsel goes long way than instructing or scolding with unpleasant words.

Reward them for good results

Parents should reward their child for excellent achievement, effort, and good work. It is a way to compliment their efforts. Good motivation is essential to make a child perform better with studies. This will boost his/her morals to do more.
